John D. “J.D.” Korhonen, an architectural project manager, joined Farmer Payne Architects early in 2017. He has lived in Jackson for more than 18 years and has over 25 years combined experience in the fields of architecture, engineering and construction administration.
John previously worked with Ellis Nunn Architects for more than a decade. Prior to moving to Jackson, he lived in Michigan, where he attended Northwestern Michigan College and studied architecture and engineering technologies and construction management. His architectural experience involves the design and management of projects from schematic development phases through the final completion, and his portfolio includes a number of high-end residential projects in Jackson and nationwide.
John’s work experience also includes engineering land surveying for government studies, surveys and compilation of data and reports required by the E.P.A. John also has more than 10 years on-site construction experience that has proven valuable in the application of custom details for a more comprehensive estimation and design process.
Outside of the office, John keeps active enjoying all that Jackson and the mountains offer, from skiing and hiking, to rafting and sailing. He is also the owner of JH Property Services, a high-end service and management company in Jackson.
