This full-home renovation in Shreveport reimagined the interior to enhance light, flow, and architectural character while honoring the home’s original bones. Throughout the main living spaces, original parquet floors were refinished and extended with reclaimed oak, custom millwork and paneling were introduced, and expanded windows were added to maximize natural light.
The kitchen was redesigned as a central gathering space, featuring inset cabinetry, a Venetian plaster vent hood, and warm, traditional detailing. Spaces that once lacked definition were elevated with layered materials such as marble, ornate moulding, wood paneling, and grasscloth wallpaper.
The project was completed with the addition of a formal courtyard off the dining room, framed by a new primary bedroom addition and gallery hall, with white-painted antique brick creating a bright, cohesive, and refreshed look.
